Jake was an early ambassador of BeInstrumental's and could always be counted on to lend a hand. His enthusiasm for the local music scene and his passion for the arts could not be matched. BeInstrumental is humbled that Jake's family thought of our organization for friends and family to remember his spirit, and we have further created the BeInstrumental Jake Pavlica Memorial Fund to honor him. Donations made to Jake's Memorial Fund will be generously matched by BeInstrumental Board Members and will be used to help provide other aspiring musicians the opportunities to reach their goals. Through music, we will help keep Jake Pavlica's spirit alive. Instruments Music is essential in schools, but limited resources and shrinking budgets make it difficult to get instruments in the hands of eager students. The solution was The Instrument Bank, a warehouse of instruments donated by people within the region, refurbished, and donated to music students in area schools. Education Many young people attend community centers and clubs when school is not in session, where most activities were centered around sports and recreation. BeInstrumental recognized the impact music education would have and partnered with a variety of area organizations, such as The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, The Friendly Center, The Maritime Academy, Queen of Apostles, Wildwood Environmental Academy, and many more, to provide music teachers, instruction, and programs. Performance Performance is the pinnacle of music education and allows performers to showcase and creatively express their dedication and hard work. Along with our educational partners, BeInstrumental has organized recitals for young people and local musicians to perform within the community.
